Hey everyone, I have a is200 sport and it is 153bhp standard but is sluggish and not very quick in 1st and 2ndgear. Anyone have any ideas how to get more power and performance cheaply I have already tried a tuning box and it made no difference whatsoever. Any info is appreciated.

You could also look for a used Supercharger Kit!

There is used an Eaton M62 supercharger, some 2" piping, intercooler, bypass system,
ECU extension.

Original street legal with 205 bhp, and possible up to 260bhp, mine had 235bhp
and looked like this:

To go from 205 to 235 bhp i added a larger pulley, larger intercooler, 260cc injectors, BOV.

Made a lot more fun than the stock 155 bhp!

as above the cheapest way is to purchase a TTE supercharger kit. They are rare and hard to come by. They are a direct bolt on and only require a fuel cut defender due to the extra fuel required to match the amount of forced air. However a kit like that will cost you at least 3000AUD + install so not exactly cheap. I'd probably suggest if you have a manual to get a exedy clutch with JUN fly wheel, short shifter , higher ratio final drive and lighten as much as possible because they are a porky bastard. I've had my IS200 for 9 years and the most fun is finding the full potential of the handling. That said i'm doing a 3SGE swap which will give me an instant 118kw at the wheel figure compared to 80ish from a slush box IS200.

Are you sure to have the Sport LSD Diff?

Look at the firewall code, the swap from open to LSD Diff made nearly the same fun as mounting the supercharger kit!!

K&N Filter is Part number 33-2845, maybe it will help you revving faster.

I would also recommend the JUN Flywheel and some Sport clutchkit like i had: Helix organic, feels very direct and a lot quicker than original setup!
