Lexus IS - Wikipedia

I wanted everyone to go over this page... there's a few things that I'm wondering how accurate they are.

Like in 2000, 15,000 IS300s were sold? I thought it was only available in Japan then?

Figured if we get factual information, we could fix the page for accuracy.

Also, I think it's a pretty cool page with a lot of stuff in one spot. We should add a section about "followings" and mention .net lol

I DID search before posting this, but I got a million results when i searched for wikipedia.

Ya I think they must have combined USDM and JDM info... Wasn't it sold as a '99 model in Japan, too?

The IS 200 come in 6 speed manual, I've got one.

Mine is a 2001 model but I got it in June 2000 so they should account for 2000 fiscal year

The IS200 and the Altezza came with the 6 speed (though not sure which one). All we got was the crummy A650e automatic and the w55 manual.

Also, the 1st-gen Lexus IS, as an IS 200 was sold in Europe before coming to North America.

PROTIP: A given Model Year typically goes on sale in August-September the previous year.

Good point I guess. But they should count as 2001 model year revenue. They should be counting how many of that model year were sold, not how many were sold in that calendar year.
