Hi everyone

I swapped my worn OEM shocks for used Cusco coilovers and the ride was terrible. They turned out to be blown bought from a local guy, so I’m going back to a stock-quality setup. My original shocks are done too. For a 1st-gen IS300, what replacement shocks/struts should I run to get OEM ride quality and good handling?
I’ve checked Bilstein but couldn’t find a clear listing for Gen-1 at first; RockAuto shows FCS and KYB. Which brand is best for comfort and handling? The car’s been parked for a month because the coilover ride was that bad.

Please advise best product.

Thank you gang !

If stock ride height I’d go with the KYB. Just installed a set of their GR2 struts and they ride great. Just like factory. Bilstiens are nice, trouble is they only sell the fronts and that is silly just to run their fronts and different rears.

I would suggest checking out Koni. They make a SRT (orange color) set that works well with factory or lowering spring equipped car.
