my friend(RayUnited) and i were trying to debadge the "Lexus" on his IS250... we almost pull the whole thing out and we see the hole behind the L on the trunk... and i believe thats an other hole behind the "S" or on the an other side... i dont know about the IS350... but i think is the same...

Well those holes are to line up the badge right? So it's not that you can't debadge it... it's just that it'll require more work.

I think they wanted to make it more difficult cause they were pissed so many IS300's were running around with no Lexus signs on the back.
I know... at my workplace there's another guy with an IS300... and he changed the front grille and put Altezza on the back. I don't think he wants people to know he drives a Lexus.

Does the "250" have the same holes???

If not then you should just take that off....

I have seen many GS 300's debadged to hide that its not a 400 or 430...

However, I have also seen plenty of GS 400/430's debadged as well... of course that gives them the "Sleeper" look... :p

Lots of people debadge their cars, it's personal preference. Look at all the JDM badges you see (Nissan Skyline 350GT, Altezza, etc...). Putting a Nissan badge on your Infiniti certainly isn't going to increase it's value. :)

This is good info, it's a shame Lexus put holes in but oh well, you can always plug them if you really want the badge gone.

For lots of people on this site, we can tell what model is which even if it is debadged.

I would like to take a guy who debadged his car and show him other debadged cars that look similar to his and see if he can dell the difference between different trim levels. (eg. 525i vs. 545i or S430 vs S500) If he couldn't figure it all out I would laugh at him/her.
