the server is having a major crush of traffic right now i think... there are many many people on and off this forum that want to try BYO..

the only thing available right now are the 18s.... not bad, but i expect more. Specifically, i have decided to just get the sport package on the 350...

$42,275 for IS350 + Sport Package + Nav (as listed on their Price/Options page not the IS Builder)

I guess I'll just have to wait till I can get that car config for $40k

Too bad Lexus has these goofy packages, I wish you could just build the car with the options you want like with other luxury car manufacterers. All I want is sports suspension, 18" wheels, metallic trim, and navigation. Not the rest of the stuff in the "luxury sports package". I guess by offering packages it allows Lexus to keep base prices under BMW.

When I did the math, the performance package + NAV was right at 40K.

Whis is it that I try to build an IS250 Manual RWD the only available package is "18-in Alloy Wheels with Summer Tires $720.00 "

But the IS350 you are able to select many more packages.

Whats up with that?

Is it that its to soon, but later the IS250 will be available with those packages??
You only get to build options from cars that are available in your area. If your area based on your ZIP does not have cars with the options you want then they will not show up.

what crap is this

To get the 250awd you have to have the intuitive park assist. If it is so intuitive why do I need it? Also the only option is the nav system which gives me the backup camera and the park assist???? Do I really need both? to get the nav, here in CT it is 39K
to buy the same friggin car in detroit (zip code 48226) it is 2k less
WHAT THE FUG??? :suspiciou
anyone acre to explain?
to lease it damm car is close to 600/mo
I can get a fully loaded A4 3.2 quattro MSRP 41k for about 50/mo less

thats the Math i am working with, but the Nav and ML are now tied together for a $3K package according to the Options/Pricing page on the IS portal. I dont see a ML stand-alone option.
The Nav is listed as stand alone under "Individual Factory Options" for $2,550, located right below the "Navigation System/Mark Levinson Package - $3,990"

I can't find an ML stand-alone option either, I think nav is required.

Do you only get the backup camera with the ML system or does it come with the basic NAV package? Also, is the ML system required to play DVD movies when parked?
According to http://www.lexus.com/models/is/price_options.html

Lexus voice-activated DVD Navigation System [4] with backup camera [5] and Bluetooth® technology [6] - $2,550

Not sure why Lexus would require you to play DVDs while you are parked... what if you don't have a dvd? ;-)

I think what you meant to say was are you required to park when playing DVDs. As far as everyone knows, yes.

No, what I meant was, does the standard NAV/Stereo unit play DVD movies, or do you need the ML system to do this?
