Strange noise coming from R154

Guys I have this very strange noise coming from my R154 from what I can tell. It sounds like a clicking tin can sounding noise. I wish I could describe it better. It doesn't make it all the time but it only does it when I roll from a stop (engaging the clutch). I thought it might have been my twin disc clutch but it also does it when you are rolling and get on the gas hard initially then goes away. It also does it on low gears when you let off the gas to do some engine braking. It only makes it when you get on or off the gas initially then stops. It's not a constant noise. Another thing I thought was maybe it had to do something with the tranny mount because I am using the w55 mount and only 2 of the 4 bolts fit on the R154. I really don't know what it could be. Do any of you guys with the R154 have this issue?

The input shaft of my r-154 rattles at idle under load (a/c). v160's do the same thing. It sounds like there are rocks in the transmission.

And thanks for the additude

Didn't mean any disrespect buddy.
I know what you mean about the rattle sound.
It sounds like an 18 wheeler if you have the idle below 900 rpm.
But that is still not the noise that I am having. I think I'm going to just put it up in the air and try to duplicate the noise while taking a look from underneath.

it's all good...
I did the w58 mount with only 2 bolts into the trans instead of 4
Do you have spacers under the aluminum mount? I had to bang my tunnel out and not use spacers. Check around the tunnel for the trans hitting.
That's about all I can think of now, other than trying to replicate the issue in the air.

Yes I have it spaced about 3/4 inch. I did use washers instead of a block due to lack of resources at the time. It very well could be coming from there. Maybe a noise from the washers compressing when the tranny moves. I dunno, Im really just throwing it out there. I did bang out the tunnel so there shouldn't be any contact. I've had the tranny on the car for almost a year and the noise didn't really start until like 4 month after the install. I've just tried to live with it untill now.

Sprung hub clutch? My clutch has a broken spring in the hub and it sounds like a diesel with the clutch out at idle. Clutch in and it goes away... Annoying but not the end of the world.
