Ignition timing

I can’t really see the side of the Y axis. I am assuming that is MAP and that 10 is in fact 10psi of boost? ~9 degrees at that point?

If so, unless you’re running like 70 octane gasoline, you’re definitely leaving power on the table. Around that same boost leaves my timing is 16-18 degrees. Of course please don’t change what you have on my behalf. Just making observations is all.
Nice to know my timing is conservative so I have a bit to play around with. I’m not hitting anywhere near 10 psi. Currently on 4 psi so around 11 degrees of advance.

What is on the left side of that map you posted? Is it MAP? Yes you are definitely very conservative which is fine. I think around 4psi I am around 19ish
It is MGP. But same thing 4 PSI 11 degrees. I am keeping the timing mid range low to keep the torque down for the skinny GE Rods. Ill keep in mind how much I can advance towards the high end of the rpm range though. Still need to hook up my knock sensors up and verify the settings so I can start turning things up. This is a dedicated drift car so I am trying to keep things on the safe side. Is that 19 Degrees at 4000 rpm or up top higher in the rev range?

My current timing table is listed above. I have made some changes here and there but more or less it’s that. I am running 91 pump gas. The base map from ECU master had some super aggressive timing in there and it was pinging and knocking like crazy (by ear)

tamed it down significantly and this is where I have landed so far. I have run up to 10psi on this timing and so far so good. I will be putting my car on a dyno in a couple weeks.
Looking forward to seeing the dyno run!

Yeah I didn’t touch timing on this session. I actually ended up making 8psi. Stock exhaust is probably leaving 20psi on the table. Ended up making 271 wheel (stock Lexus cat back)
very solid! Ill be referencing that as my upper limits on timing once I get my knock sensors setup and logging. I did watch through the video and saw that. I’m on a custom 3 inch exhaust so 8 psi should put me right around 300 hopefully.
