My dealer quoted me:

Windshield: $550
Seals: $70
Labor: $250

To replace a broken windshield.

Is this realistic?

The cost of the windshield is just right together with the seals. But the labor is of course expensive since you are going through a (lexus) dealer. You can have a auto glass company do the same job for much cheaper. Say about $600 - 650 installed.

If you still want to save a littme more $ don't get an original Lexus windshield. That's what I did and the only thing different from the original part is the Lexus wording on the windshield.

I got mine replaced for $150 lol... asian places charge almost nothing for labor!! Looks exactly the same except it doesn't have the Lexus Stamp.

Thats so true, dealer wante 1000.00, body shop wanter 700.00. im getting this asian dude to replace mine for like 250.

Yah, don't get the original Lexus windshield again if you have the choice. I find that it is very prone to chips. Maybe something generic out there will actually work better and cost less! 8)

I got my OEM windshield through my bodyshop for 550 installed, but this time I am going with a non OEM one cause its time to replace it after 2 years. Very prone to rock chips though!!!!

windshield job is a flat rate of 125 i believe, thats the normal charge of insurance. Why not just going through your insurance, it's a non deductible claim.
