18 x 9 with +50mm offset will work fine. with a 255 tire, you probably wont even have to roll the fenders either if dropped an inch or two.

one of my is300's is currently on 18 x 9.5 with +45 offset, stock suspension, and i rub slightly over bumps and dips.

the wheel itself would probably be flush with the fender. you'd have to run extra camber/stretched tire or cut/pull your fender.

what kind of offset would you need to run a really aggressive looking rim...a nice big lip?

you would need a different car. lol

the IS isn't made for low offset wheels, especially in front.

the only guys around here with big lip are the VIP stylers
