The rear seats on my A4 fold down. It's not like having folding rear seats takes away from the luxuriousness of a car--it just adds more functionality. It's one of the few gripes I have about my IS300.

I agree, I meant for functionality. It adds more room for those who ski or snowboard. The 3 series and A4 all fold down.

Yup, they all fold down. This is the first time I've come across a car where they don't. WTF?
Luxury or not, a car is utilitarian for most people. It serves a purpose. It gets us and our stuff where we want to go, just in more luxury in this case. But folding seats are a very common and effective way to get more cargo capacity. So is lexus saying that their engineers couldn't figure out a way to make the car stiff with folding rear seats like ALL the other brands?

haha, sorry. I throw "wtf" around a lot. I just meant it as I am a bit suprised.

But you are right. Its not a deal breaker, just a minor inconvenience.
