No. One is plated in gold and the other is plated in silver. I was always led to believe that gold conducts electricity better but I could be wrong.

From what I was told and what I have seen, gold is a much better conductor of electricity. That's why so many audiophiles use expensive gold connectors in their cars as well as in there home theatre systems.
