On ebay, though, make sure you're not stuck with an old model. Though Valentine offers _software_ upgrades year to year, their older _hardware_ is just not as good as the current stuff.

Ebay is not the answer to everything, look at the rediculous price people on there are asking for a PS2. What the heck, $650 for a PS2 console? are people nuts?
I wonder if you can get V1 in a local aftermarket shop and get it for cheaper? Or is the website the only seller out there?

daniel i think ebay is one of the best sources for a valentine one cheap, every where i've looked is equal or more expensive than te msrp

I have a V1 and it is awesome. It stands out against the competition because of the arrow leds. V1 does not sell its products to other stores, they sell directly from there web site ONLY. You can get one from EBay but make sure it is V1.8 which is the latest version.

Order it directly from www.valentine1.com. Ebay is the worst place to get it. The cheapest ones you'll find are the older models. What's the point of paying $250-$300 for an obsolete model only to find it will cost another ~$200 to upgrade it the newest version. So in the end you're paying more than it cost for a new one.
