Does anyone know the milege interval that I should change my oil. The book says 5000-7500 miles I think. Could that be too long?
Should I follow the recommendation of the
owner's manual?

also, if I change my oil at a local auto shop, would that avoid the warranty?

I change mine every 5000 miles, or before. there's no hard in doing it too often, the car can only benifit.
