Has any of you burnt rubber/spun the wheels upon takeoff in your IS300?

I've heard a couple IS300 owners on this board that have chirped their tires for a sec or so upon take off. LSD should make it more difficult to do so. I think the final drive ratio probably has something to do with this, because when I had my GS400 (equipped with LSD) if I floored it from a stand still, the car will give a little chirp and shoot off... I heard that low tire pressure helps you spin your tires off the line..

Sigss,

Smra
when i test drove the is300 is chirped a bit off the line, so yes, i know it can do it.

incidentally, i raced a saab 9.5 aero last night and my cl-s got rubber in 2nd. impressive for an automatic.
When IS300's chirp is that the hampster wheel under the hood? J/K

But seriously,.... Chirping in second with an automatic? Now that I have to try in my CLS.
dead serious...just go at 100% throttle right off the line, and second will give you a solid *chirp* as it hits. someone on 260hp.com posted an MPEG of him doing the same thing in his CLS.
No, I think it's the hamster that your boyfriend put in your a$$
geoff, ever heard of weight transfer in front-drive car? I think that was what you experienced. The weight transfer to the back wheels was enough to unload the front drive wheels enough to loose traction and make the chirp. That's why serious sports cars/sedans are never front-drive.
sigss, weight transfer happens in every car. in front drive car, the unloading phase makes it a bit easier to spin the wheels because the load is removed, yes. i was just making an observation about my car in a race, especially seeing how it's an automatic -- there are many front-drivers out there that cannot spin the tires.
Hey PMD911 you are a funny guy. Did you notice the J/K at the end you f-Ing tool?
