Hey fellas, I’m planning on running chargespeed fenders which are a +20mm on my IS300. I’m planning on running 17x9 or 17x9.5’s with 255/40R17 all 4 tires. My goal is to make it a somewhat time attack car. What would be the best offsets to run and not rub?
Well it depends on how low you are. Problem with the front wheels is they have to turn, and at full turn lock, almost always results in rubbing. And those are fiberglass fenders, so any rubbing has the high potential to shatter them.
Your specs should be fine. I have seen people run 8.5 +38 no problem. So with a 20mm fender, you should be able to run 9.5 +45/38 to be conservative. +22/15 for more aggressive set up. Depends how meaty the tires you want also.
