spoiler (haven't decided
springs haven't decided
tints 20-30%
muffler borla or greddy
wheels/ tires 18 in (AL) (if i get a solar yellow IS ill get the BFGoodrich scorchers with the yellow strips on them)
yellow or blue fog light bulbs
2 12 in subs, AMP,
NO STICKERS!!!!!!!
i agree that stickers make the car look sless respectible. kinda like swearing

Mostly exterior appearance mods. Im not a racer, but i would like my IS to stand out.

as you can probably tell by my choices i am a young person.

Pretty much same as TEG. Springs probably and tint certainly. Would probably go turbo for F/I unless there was a TRD supercharger. Might work on the subwoofer if the system doesn't bang enough.

Are there any performance mods that you will consider that won't affect the warranty? Or is that a pipe dream on my part?

Well other than the 2JZ/6 speed swap:
Tein suspension (HA's probably) - I'm a distrib so that's a given.
Kaaz LSD (Again, I'm a distrib so I have to display the product)
3 inch downpipe (stainless)
Custom 3 inch stainless exhaust with Apexi RS muffler (85mm). Muffler is in my closet for now. I have to get a smaller tip. I think there's a 4.5 incher on that thing. Yuck.
Windows Tinted.
Debadge the entire car and get JDM Altezza grill.
Lasly, all the electronic goodies like turbo timer, boost controller and some Greddy silver face gaudges to monitor everything).
Recaro SR-IV's.
Later on, I hope Apexi will offer the Power FC ECU setup. That'd be nice.
Warranty? What's that?

Ya at the same time try telling the guy at the service that it didnt affect warranty.

well the catch to void the warranty is this.. If they can prove it caused the damage. So it costs them more money to prove that your mod created this damage. so 9 times out of 10 they just fix it as warranty.

I would love to know what your IS200 will feel like. The 1G-FE 6MT was not offered in Japan until last week. My ideal Altezza would be a supercharged In-line 6 6MT. But since I had to buy the 3S-GE (4 In-line) to get the 6MT, I am stuck with a little rough engine. Though I changed the air filter and the feeling got a lot nicer. Now I'm considering of putting a turbo kit since so many tuning shops in Japan are coming out with turbos for 3S-GE Altezza. Not the high pressure expensive ones, but the low pressure affordable ones.

I definitey want an HKS Hiper or Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust kit. Lowered suspenson (2") and 18" Neeper Flys I will transpant my two Infinity Perfect 10 subs and Rockford/Fosgate Amp into the IS. I wish this damn car came with side markers. but oh well. No goofy SportCompactCar look on this new ride. that crap is just too played out. Besides, why would you f**k up a car after you just spent $37k ??

Where did you by it from?
Do you have an e-mail or an address for someone that can increase the anemic 1F-GE

I bought the supercharger from my local Lexus dealer in Stockholm. The reason why there's no mentioning about it on the TTE website is probably because it has just been developed and availible on the market. There will only be 20 IS200 with the TTE equipment as "standard options" sold by Lexus in the Scandinavia.

I belive TRD will come out with a similar supercharger later on ( ? ).

( I will go and get my IS200 at 16:00 local time, TODAY !!! Yeehhaaa . . . look out for pictures later on )

Hi All. If anyone's interested in high-quality aftermarket wheels and exhaust, check out www.blackheartpower.com. The company is owned by a good friend of mine. They offer great prices on 5Zigen exhausts and wheels from 5Zigen, Volk Racing, Advan, EB Eintz, Formula, and more. Tell them Jai sent you and they'll discount the price further. Take a look at the website for the exhausts and some of the wheels they carry. They recently acquired a new distributor/importer, so take a look at www.wheeloptions.com to see the other wheels. Thanks.

Jai

I too carry Advan and SSR as well as many other high end Japanese products. I'm getting Tein suspension systems for the IS soon and Kaaz will be shipping me their first Altezza/IS300 limited slip differential for me to drop into my car as soon as I get it.

I have just returned from my local Lexus dealer. The IS200 that I had ordered were finally availible for delivery.

The car is Imperal Jade colored with ivory interior and a complete set of TTE modifications.

TTE spec.

* Lowering springs and adjustable dampers ( app. 60mm of hight reduction )
* Adjustable swaybars front and rear
* TTE front bumper and grille
* TTE rear under spoiler
* TTE trunk-lidd spoiler
* TTE muffler and stainles tailpipe ( 150mm )

To be deliverd to me in July-August:

* TTE Supercharger ( approx. 40% more tourque and Bhp )
* TTE coold air intake and sports air filter
* TTE intercooler
* TTE upgraded ECU

The car is delivered by Lexus, so all of the warranties are still in affect!!!

The engine will produce around 230Bhp at the delivery from Lexus, but I have gotten some "secret" information from the Lexus mechanics that I can easely fork out another 30-50Bhp by just remapping the ECU . . . Will I do it ? What do you think ? ;-)

I'm very happy to anounce that the car's handling is SUPER compered to the standard IS200 sport ( which I had for two months prior to this car). I have still to put the car through it's paces at the track to make a more precise comparison.

It feels like the suspension is working much more "up/down" instead of sideways ( as I found out on the sport version), there's hardly any "po-going" when driving slowly in the city, in fact it's more comfortable now.

The first impressions where: wow, this car is low!

A impression that is enhanced when standing next to a standard IS.

I can really recomend this upgrade to all European IS200 owners !

I will post some photos of the car and the supercharger in this forum later on, stay tuned for more . . .

30-50 bhp out of a chip? I think not. Expect about 10% increase at absolute most. Chips work great on turbo vehicles because you can increase boost but on normally aspirated cars, they work best when you have a lot of modifications done to the car. I think it's worth it either way but just don't expect 30-50 bhp. Also, Techtom has not released the ROM boards for the VVTi 2JZ motors yet so I'm not even sure reprogramming them is possible yet. I doubt it.

Though the easy route is probably shoehorning in the 2jzgte from the supra tt, or going to a single turbo, I'd personally like to see someone instead throw in the 2.5L 1jzgte (2.5l twinturbo 280hp), or better yet, the 3sgte used in such cars as the ultimate celica (560hp), and racing venues such as pikes peak tacoma (700hp), jgtcc supra (580hp), and the kool atlantic cars. Not only will this give the car phenomenal hp, but it will give it the balance that it should have in the first place.

I would love a 1JZ-GTE or a 3S-GTE in the IS. However, there are the problems of obtaining the engine and installing it and passing emissions.
