i just got my is300 a wk ago, ive been thinking hard about what to do. I guess in generaly i'll go get a custom turbo instal or turbo kit for my car. but for now i need somethin to basically kill time(possibly 2-3 yrs). i was wondering if an intake and/or an axle back exhaust would void the warranty. im leaning towards to just getting an intake for now. any suggestions?

It only voids the warranty of the damaged part if they can prove that your aftermarket item caused the damage.

since i wanna go turbo later on, should i even bother getting an exhaust? b/c of inspection, the intake is no problem but should i get a bolt on axle back exhaust? and headers, or not bother at all since i wanna go turbo in a few years (need to save up $$$). thanks in advance

If you want to go turbo...don't waste your money on anything....especially not a header, because that will certainly be replaced unless u change your mind and go with a suprercharger.

Intake and exhaust are good starters. I suggest SRT intake and HKS Dragger II....maybe a Xerd race pipe too. That's my old setup...quick and great sound!

the dragger isn't too loud is it? i think there was a exhaust comp. vid. on this site somewhere, ill look at it later. but with the srt intake do you think i should get the normal intake or the intake + chip? how was your experiance with this i/e combo? easy to take off for inspection? thanks again.

For now, just go for the basic bolt on set-up...btw Hks DraggerII is not loud @ all, add Xerd race pipe...together perfect fit along with some nice deep sound.

thanks for the info, yeh in a mth or two im gonna get the intake and the exhaust, im not too sure about the race pipe (doesn't that just eliminate the cat, i don't remember) and should i get the srt intake and the chip? is it really worth paying 500 bucks for the intake+chip?

get yourself a injen/aem and find yourself a used SAFC in buy/sell forum or any other major non honda car forum... that will be less than 500 combined..imo the srt is overpriced....

race pipe eliminates 1 cat, but you still have 2 on your header so you should be 'okay'
