Can anyone id what this sensor is called and what it does. It is located in the front drivers wheel area. I think it's part of the traction system. Looks like a mini shock attached to the linkage. I can't find a diagram or description. The sensor seems ok but the bracket has broken and is dangling. IS300 - 2004. Thanks

Well there is no picture, but it's probably the ride height sensor, used for the head light leveling system.
Ya, I thought about that after I posted... A pic would be nice. I was thinking that this one might stick out. So if it's been dangling for a while, wouldn't the lights be all wonky ? They seem ok. I'm going to try and weld the bracket back together, but it is quite thin. Fingers crossed. Thanks !
