i heard for some car you can raise the car off the ground, use a big extender on the bolt, and crank the engine to break the bolt lose. i heard there was some sort of rubber seal/ring that cannot be damage or will cause bearing damage in the future, so it must be a quick break for the bolt.

can anyone give me more detail or maybe your trick to breaking the bolt lose?

thanx in advance

If you don't have an impact handy, you can pin a breaker bar against the ground, and tap the starter to break the bolt loose. If you do this make sure you have the breaker bar pinned in the right direction, or it can cause more than a little damage! Also remember this will not work on all cars. I haven't needed to take the pulley off the IS, but i used this trick on more than a few Supras back in the day before i had a decent impact. good luck
