What is Back Pressure and what problems may come from it?

Back pressure is due to any restriction in the exhaust system, beit a turbocharger, catalytic converter, small exhaust, low flow muffler .... problems associated with it, can be high egts (read as inaccurate readings for the gauge when tuning), a non optimal producton of power, exhaust/inert gasses being left or pushed back into the cylinder which in turn leads to less overall oxygen in the cylinder and less power.
