I have been talking with the dealer in Charlotte and he has said 33,136 out the door. In th epast I have seen much lower prices. What do you guys/girls think about this deal? I would really appreciate any ideas? What should I say to him to get it down. Thanks in advance!

Find the next nearest dealer to you, ask him whether he could beat your current price, then take that back to the original guy. Nothing new here, just a bidding war. Also, with taxes included it looks like you're probably getting the car for around 31 grand?? Not Bad. If it were me I'd shoot for no more than 30 grand flat, before taxes and fees. Good Luck!

Yes, too high indeed, considering some are buying a fully loaded IS3 at 30-grand before taxes and fees. Afterall, you're buying a car that although unused, is about a year old.

hmm.. seems like a lot for not being fully loaded. you might want to shop around the net. most car dealerships have an internet division now, and it seems to me that is where to get the best prices. no pushy salespeople, cause, well, they only exist in your email

also, you can take your web quotes to your local dealer and threaten them with that. if you save a grand over the net then its worth the $300-400 delivery charge to get it from another state

Well I held out long enough that I got him to drop to 30,900. I feel this was a great deal. I appreciate your all your comments and help. I will be getting the car sometime next week, I can't wait. Finally!

Would you pay an extra $200 and get it fully loaded? In other words everthing except the graphite polished rims?

If so, you might want to make the short trip to Atlanta. I could recommend a great dealer where I got mine.

Congrats! You obviously don't mean out the door, including all fees and taxes, if that's the case you got one of the best deals EVER! So how much did he actually come down from his initial sale price?

I've seen them selling for $30,700 near me, but that's before taxes and fees and stuff.

At first he was at 34,165 (sticker). So he came down three grand. I was not going to pay over 31,000 (Sticker)for this car. I was looking at the Tl type S and played a little cat and mouse with each dealer. I think it went very well. I was getting ready to walk in the door at acura and lexus called with an offer I couldn't refuse. Although it took about a week to do if you can just hold off the new car fever they will come down.

hey guys, I'm also getting my IS300 soon, deliever date is around June 20th. I already paid $1000 downpayment. My deal was $30,768, pretty cheap huh? considering itz a silver IS (yeeesssssssss, silver)with leather package and moonroof. If anyone is considering 'bout getting an IS, now is the time, cuz if u wait any longer, there will be no more 2001 IS available. My dealer informed me that he is only getting 6 IS in their next delivery (1 of them is my silver bullet

) So expect the price to rise again in the nxt few weeks. And if u wait until the 2002 models to come out, chances r, there will be no 2001 model left..
