Seems like a very good deal, to me at least.
I paid way more for my 2001 IS and a bit more for 2003 one.
BTW, those grapite polished wheels look very nice.

I think its a great deal. MSRP of 32k+ for 29.2k is really good. I paid 29.2 for my 03 5sp and it only listed or 31 something.

the key isnt the MSRP its the invoice...if your getting 500 or less over invoice price then its a good deal..i got my car for 430 over invoice..go to either edmunds.com or carsdirect.com and find the invoice on the pakage the dealer is offering you then add 500 and thats your starting point for negotiation...goodluck

What IS300_Onyx says is very good advice. Also I checked the Lexus site, I think the dealer is overstating the MSRP of that car, but check for yourself. You always want to know for yourself what the MSRP and what the Invoice prices are. Like Onyx said, $500 over invoice is not unreasonable, so start your bidding there. The dealers are slippery so you have to be armed with all the info you can find. I bought basically the same car in Nov 2001 and it cost me just over 30k, so I think you are getting a decent deal, but if they are willing to go lower then do yourself a favor and save some money...spend it on an intake!

My dealer e-mailed me this offer.

My dealer e-mailed me back today with this offer on a Graphite 5-speed that just came in, which I orginally wanted.

"Dealer Invoice is $28,654. I will sell you the IS300 $800 below invoice. This brings you OTD to $30,431.67. This gives you all the holdback and then some. I suggest you take this offer. Graphite 5-Speeds are rare right now.

This car has the leather/escaine package, limited slip, graphite polished wheels and rear deck lid."
