As in, the IS has less HP than the GS. Is there any we can recover that loss withough using intake, header, or exhaust mods?

Never really understood why the IS300 was slightly detuned, except for the fact Toyota didn't want the IS to tread too deeply in the GS market.

I'm not familiar with the GS, but it probably has a less restrictive intake and exhaust, which gives it slightly more power. Thats just a guess.

IS' engine bay is kinda cramped... so Lexus/Toyota used more compact(read: restrictive) header.
so... there goes the 5hp~

This is the GS300 exhaust "manifold"

This should explain everything. And no, it will not fit on the IS300. The bay is simply too cramped.
