If you pull the oil filter you will need all 6quarts. I use a full 6qts when changing my oil and it lines up after getting warm right up to the line, never exceeds the line. I guess some people just keep the same filter for the life of the car and use only 5.7qts. And if you don't change your own oil you should not being saying anything yourself.kraze8 said:RTFM before giving out advice like that! if you don't know sh*t about the quantity of oil to pour in, don't just give a round-about number... :roll:DL said:6 qts

Yep. The engine will just throw out the excess and it will end up at the full line. That's waste, and not environmentally sound.DL said:If you pull the oil filter you will need all 6quarts. incorrect; manual states 5.7 WITH filter change; 5.4 w/o filter change.DL said:If you pull the oil filter you will need all 6quarts. change the oil yourself and see, I do my own oil change so maybe my car has some gremlin. Most shops will use all the 6qts also after chaning the oil and it lines up right up to the max line and does not go over.Cleo said:incorrect; manual states 5.7 WITH filter change; 5.4 w/o filter change.DL said:If you pull the oil filter you will need all 6quarts.
