Actually, it was no big deal.. I was minding my own business, waiting for the light to change, and this guy next to me in a 96-98 Prelude started revving it up. It wasn't a V-tec, and probably not even an Si model- it did have an aftermarket exhaust that was almost dragging the ground. I'm in e-shift mode, so when the light turns green, I ease away, and he jumps on it. I shifted into third, thought 'oh well", and pushed it to the floor, I look over, he was around 100 yards behind and losing ground. I imagine that he thought I was just an old guy running stock.

Marc- tires are holding up well. I'm really beginning to get comfortable with the throttle control, and am keeping wheelspin to a minimum. It is an art to keep all of the parts working together. :)

96-97 is the older body style....that model si wasn't vtec...i think it was 2.3L h23a..................if i remember right....

98 is when it started looking more classy....and i also think all models where OBDII and VTEC

vtec does not compare to a PFS built monster

Keep in mind that I'm not a "quarter-miler"- I'm into road racing and auto-x. For straight line speed, you need wider rear tires than the 225/40's I'm running. Some of the guys have 265's, depending on the wheel.
