I know this been beat to death, but can somebody tell me if i need the ECU/Trac upgrade if my vin # is 182210019772

The ECU reprogram update affects all IS300s whose VIN number is LOWER/BEFORE 10025186

The TRAC ECU replacement affects all IS300s whose VIN number is LOWER/BEFORE 10029014

my VIN# is also in the range but i have no problem with ANY problems mentioned in this site.
i also floored my car several times just to make sure all the shifting is smooth.
so i guess it just depends on your luck.

Moderator...mine doesn't really do anything bad either...but hey, if they are volunteering to make it better, I'm gonna get in line. In fact, I AM in line. I think the parts are in at the dealership, but they are still working on HOW to do it correctly. I was told they're going to experiment on a car owned by one of the office gals...
