My impressions of the New C Class.

I for one never really went goo-goo over the New C Class pictures I've seen.
And after seeing these two Silver C 320's around the Neighborhood my Opinion is Re-Affirmed!
The car is Very Generic Looking
And the Ride Height is way TOO HIGH.
Now Im sure the car has Awesome Interior Options,Fit and Finish but the Exterior is Very Generic and Bland ( IMO )

Keep your comments to a dull roar until the sport version comes out. It looks a TON better. Slam it down a bit with a rake and add some killer stock rims and you have a different animal-the Sport. Trust me on this one. Too bad it's pricey.

yes, it was supposed to look like an S-class but instead it's tall (as if on stilts) an stubby looking, not elegant like the S... It looks very nice in photos but is disappointing in person...

I just picked up a silver C320 for my wife about 1 week ago.

IMHO, this car is way too pricey. $42K large still does not have the command system which is anoth 2K more. But she like the MB mark more than the Acura, plus her TL has been retired to her mother.

Overall, I like my IS package a little better. My IS has now gone through 8k in just over 2 and half month. The car is great. However, I would wish to have a little more room. The car is a bit small. Also, the back seat is a pain for my kid.

Actually, I saw a silver C240 and it doesn't look as bad. I guess it depends on the color. When I saw the first C320 on the road, it was red and looked like someone is actually lifting it off the ground. Wrong body style for a small car in my opinion. I love the S-class, but I just don't think the style work for a small car.

I test drove a C320 Sport not too long ago...absolutely loved the car. Was as quick as my IS300, but way more pricy.
True it offers many more options, but then the price jacks it up to a different class (GS, S type, A6). I priced one with every possible option...came to $49,860. If I were spending that much money, I'd get the BMW M3 or something. At least it'd be a supercar.
But still, I like the new styling. I find it quite sophisticated and classy...if only the price came down a good ten grand or so.

Yeah, if it had been another $10K less, I think the C320 will be really considered a new 3 series killer. But with a near $50k price tag for a fully loaded car (w/o tax and fee), MB has placed into a league of its own. Maybe they want to make people think that higher price means better car?

Thats Mercedes' primary problem, and why they don't have my business. They think their cars are so utterly fantastic that they can charge rediculous prices for them. I mean, $90,000 dor an S500 with nothing on it a $69K LS430 doesnt have? Thats highway robbery. Whats interesting about Benz is, while they overprice their general models their AMG models are more or less reasonable. Try and figure that one out!
