So, there is no gasket, correct? You use FIPG on the pan? I have been thinking of pulling mine just to clean the pan and the magnets, but have not.
You can use silicone to seal it up. When I bought a transmission filter kit it came with a gasket, I used it and silicone.
I did the same, the manual says to use RTV but i got one of those cork gaskets with the filter so i used both.

Personally i am a bit wary of using RTV and those kinds of goo to seal things up after a bad experience on my first car as a young and inexperienced but overly confident teen trying to stop an oil leak on an old British car i had (they leak like a sieve no matter what lol). Using Schilak which was all that was around back then over here i put too much on the sump gasket and managed to block the oil way to the crank, leading to a catastrophic failure and a full engine recondition. Now only use it where i have to and very sparingly, and make sure i give it enough time to set :sneaky:
