Sounds like a good deal if the STI is an 06.

I like the 05 how its looks better than the 06. The 06 has the Alfa Romeo look to it which it might take a little getting used to .

MSRP on the STI is 33k. I'm pretty sure you can get 3k off on the STI these days without too much trouble, so you could buy it at 30k, which means the dealer is only giving you 12k for the IS.

You have got to realize that he is doing a trade-in. Dealerships turn into Stealerships when your doing a trade-in. So if you ask me, he is getting a pretty damn good deal.
