Hey, let me apologize first if the topic sounds offensive or anything (dude, it's always better to have a disclaimer now than later), since I couldn't think of other words at the moment. Anyway, as I see a lot of non-IS owners are here, it's just out of curiosity, what makes you folks come here all the time? Not saying that you are unwelcomed or shxt like that. Again, I'm just curious.

I mean it's totally awesome to see people owning other cars will come in, and I've actually seen some of them do protect the IS at certain times. It's only that if it's me for example, I wouldn't spend anytime to go to all those bimmer or acura sites.

The reason I come in here is because I am a fan of the IS300. I try to learn as much about as many cars as possible, and these types of forums help a lot. One is able to read first-hand information from the owners themselves and not from an out-dated website. I will consider purchasing an IS300 if they ever release a coupe version. I already own a sedan and purchasing another would not fit my needs at this time. I can, however, learn about the car for the time being.

I'm going to buy one. I gather as much information as possible before making ANY purchase so that my purchase will make me as happy as possible. This happens to be the best source of information on the IS3 that I've found anywhere (online and IRL).

I come here for a few reasons. I found the site because I was looking to lease an IS last month, but that never happened since I couldn't sell my car to my girlfriend (long story)... so, I still have my current car and I'm waiting for the 2002 models.

Another reason is that I spend WAY too much time at superhonda.org and sometimes the threads are just so boring, I need you IS owners to entertain me. J/k, but seriously, this board has less traffic but usually more interesting topics (probably just because I don't know as much about the IS as I do Hondas).

Plus I like to give my $0.02 whenever possible, so this is yet another outlet. I hope I help people sometimes, on occassion I have some decent input on a subject. =)

I can't speak for anyone except myself. But I can't see the point of spending well over $30,000 for a car and not doing a little research. We obviously cannot completely trust Car & Driver, Road and Track, Motor Trend etc... , so this is the only way I know to get reliable information on the IS 300 from people who actually own one. Because of that reason, lots of research and a test drive, I just ordered a Silver with Leather, LSD, MR, heated seats and Polished wheels last Sat. and am picking it up tomorrow. Without the forums and opinions of owners like you, I might have bought into the hype of an overpriced, underpowered 325/330.

I am sure some Bimmer and CL-S owners are just here to make trouble. Most non-owner responses I see are truly interested in information and ideas until they can afford an IS.

I think people should be more concerned with the IS 300 owners that prefer using the forum for porn posts and trying to pick up chicks rather than discuss problems, questions, ideas, praises for the great car.

Thanks for all of the info you can't get anywhere else.

I come here because I like the car as much you owners do. I have driven the IS first hand at the Lexus IS Tour and was absolutely thrilled with it. The value of the car is something that has me attached to it. If I make decent amount of money (almost graduating), then I think I know what I want already. Besides that, I do have the necessary connections to get an IS without having to go through the dealers to get one, and getting one would be at the dealer's cost. My parents are looking for another car, and hopefully I can convince them to get an IS (instead of a Highlander). For now, I will be getting an IS model to motivate me to work hard.

As for the board itself, I like the general atmosphere; great questions, knowledgable ppl who have nice rides, and the occasional rice
ranting that is very entertaining.

Please direct me to the porn posting, pick up on chick section. Is it in "Stop, Drop and Roll" or "Inside and Out"

Mainly I come here because I like the car. I'm in no rush to buy one, I'm quite happy with the car I own. But I think the IS is a very handsome car with some great sporting capabilities. Plus I live in Ft. Lauderdale and I'd love to meet up with some of the guys who've turned their car over to Toyomoto. I met up with a guy down here at Hot Import nights that had a twin turbo SC300...sweet...turbo...mmmm...doh! Anyways...even though some shXt goes down here, it generally not as bad as other boards. I like to see the mods that people are doing and really enjoy seeing cars that look somewhat stock but are true sleepers...like Toyomoto..

Well this is long enough.

I almost bought an IS300 last spring, but with a new baby, and my wife owning a sedan already, it just made more sense for us to get an SUV. Plus we like driving off-road every now and then.

I did a search for IS300 sites and found this one, like stated earlier, to research on my possible purchase. I actually didn't come into the forums until June of last year, again just gathering information, and as cardinal will say to "lurk around". I was entertained to read all of the IS300 vs. BMW/Acura/Audi/Maxima/(insert car make here) banter and kept coming back, which became a weekly thing, then a daily thing, now an hourly thing!

I like a lot of the people in here and I do plan on hopefully buying an IS300 in the future at some time, but for now I'm here to share, laugh and pimp!

well, i was out surfing for porn one night, and i stumbled upon this site. i too am wanting to purchase an is300....but decided to save up enough $$ for a down payment on a 2002. i stop by here on a frequent basis to get a better understanding of the car, .... its +'s and -'s.

very useful info here: i love it when i know more about a car than a salesperson at a dealership.

I'm a fan of the car. A great car, mind you. I haven't gone through with the purchase because I can't get the damn 2001 S2000 Spa Yellow off my hands. It has 400 miles and has been sitting the garage most of the winter. Typical buyer's remourse. I want an automatic!
