So I recently received a new set of rims for my SportX and now am looking to put some rubber on them. they are 18x7.5 all around L-tuned wheels.

I currently am running some Kumho ASXs on my supra and have been pretty impressed with the feel, wear, and grip they offered overall.

So heres the problem, what size do I go with?

Current setup
215/45/17 (17x7.0)
225/45/17 (17x7.5)

I would like to run
235/40/18

all around will this be ok with the speedo and brakes or should I go with 225/40/18?

225/40 18 is the size I recommend.

I think 235 would look too meaty on the rim, also steering response and acceleration would suffer since it is larger in overall diameter compared to 225.

225 look pretty meaty as is on a 7.5 inch rim.

I ran 225 all around on my L-Tuneds.

i had 225 up front and 235 out back on 7.5" rims and the difference wasn't noticeable... i would do the 225 so the tires can be rotated for future reffrence

Nah, I don't know it all, just giving you my experience, there may be something better out there.
