At my shop, in Santa Barbara Ca, for most 2 door cars, back 3 windows only, we charge $85 , 4 door cars, back half $95, vans & SUVs are $125. I wish we could raise our prices, but there are a couple of hack shops that lowball on the prices and the quality, even tho we do much better work, we must compete. As far as demanding one piece work on the rear window, Thats not allways the best option, depending on the car. In fact, most of my rear windows are in 2 pieces, with an invisible seam. It is NOT possible to get a clean install in one piece on alot of cars. It is best left to the descresion of the artist who is going to do the work. There is nothing more insulting than to have someone tell me how I am going to tint thier window. Think about it. Anyway, metalized film may indeed interfere with your antenna, and it will soon start to demetalize and eventually become clear. There are some pics of metalized film that faded to almost clear within a couple of years. Thay don't have them down well yet. Also nothing lasts forever in sunlight, your paint wont, so dont expect your tint to either. Metalized films will fail in about 2 years, Dyed poly films will turn purple in about 5 years. Oh by the way LLumar is th bottom of the barrel, Johnson is not far behind. Solargard has decent dyed poly, but dont trust thier metalized. Good Luck!
