so i'm on my way to the dealer to trade in honda accord for my IS. if all went right, the IS would be available for delivery on monday. i've kept really good care of this car for two years....no scratches, no dings, not even a swirl. after 49,000 miles, these were the final 30.

however, 10 miles from the dealership, i get hit with the worst streak of luck.....actually a piece of road debris to be exact! i saw this piece of metal get kicked off a truck tire. i tried to avoid it but i had nowhere to go. it nailed me right in the front quarter panel and ripped a little whole in the middle of a 9 inch dent. the dealer probably won't take it now, but i'm gonna give it a shot in the morning.

could not have happened on a worse day!

Ouch! That hurts! I was afraid to drive our old car when we were selling it for that excat same reason. I just felt the day we were going to sell it, it would get T-boned by a semi or something. Sorry to hear about that.

mental note: sell Si privately before considering trade-in.

Sorry about that bro, that really blows. They'll still take it, but I guarantee you they'll use it as an excuse to stab you more with the trade-in value! =(

I tell you what can be worse.
I was driving my brand new 7 day old IS300 to the dealership. Less than 1 mile away from my exit, I get hit w/ huge piece of plastic sht flying from a pick-up truck in front of me.
I couldn't believe my brand new baby got hit.
I didn't even stop. Was in some kind of shock.
The hood dent got taken care of by Dent Wizards.
Got a couple small dents Dents Wizards could do nothing about above passenger's rear door.
It's not something people notice, it's just I know it's there.

1 week after picking up our IS, we took it for a drive in the country. We got stuck behind a truck pulling a trailer with a tractor on it. We stayed about 50 feet behind them because there was debris flying off of it. Little did we know what a good move that was cause 1 second after we backed off, one of the wheels broke off the axel and starting bouncing behind the trailor!!! My heart came out of my chest, for fear of both my life and my car. Luckily, we slowed in time to avoid it and the truck slowly dragged the trailor on it's axel to the side of the road. Could have been a disaster.

well I have something better.....It was at the end of the summer I had my Expedition fo r6 months, so far I had a screen, system, exhaust, intake, and had just ordered the gril fo rit. I found out my grandfather passed away that mornin'. So I went to work to tell them I had to go to a funeral. As I was pulling out of the parking lot I got hit, TOTALED. To top it all off I got arrested for having three outseanding tickets. STRAIGHT TO JAIL I WENT. I had Finals the next mornign at 8am, my books were inthe expedition and I had not way to get to campus. But it all worked out cause I got a IS now.

well...it all worked out at the end. the dealer did me a favor and didn't lower the trade-in price that he had quoted me...even with the dented front fender. turns out that the lexus and honda dealerships are owned by the same person and the sales manager at honda owed the manager at lexus a favor. so it's a done deal....i pick up my IS on monday afternoon.
