for now i will be keeping the stock HU

what will i need to make this work?

I have the same thing you are talking about. 2 Eclipse 88 series 12" and a Pheonix Gold Tantrum 540 watt amp. It was somewhat expensive where I got it, but thiers lifetime warranty. Sounds great and easy to install
