15900Lexus has just updated its Canadian Website to include information on the just-launched Lexus IS F.

A quick review reveals a number of interesting differences versus how Lexus offers the IS F in the United States. The big one, of course, is the price: $64,400 Canadian (almost $65,156 U.S. dollars), an eye-popping $9156 U.S. dollars more than the U.S. base suggested retail price. If you compare apples-to-apples, you'll find that Headlamp Washers, a $100 MSRP option in the States, are standard in Canada. Still, this means that our northern neighbors are paying a bit over US$9000 for the very same car, identically equipped. And, like in the U.S., those numbers exclude freight/destination charge, fees and taxes.

A glance at the Canadian option list reveals that the Parking Sensors, Pre-Collision System/Dynamic Radar Speed Control, Moonroof delete and Navigation System sans Mark Levinson Audio options are not available there. In fact, the lone factory option is the Series 2 Package, a baffling name for the U.S.'s Navigation System/Mark Levinson Premium Audio Package. This U.S. market $3990 MSRP option goes for $4100 Canadian (just over $4145 U.S. dollars). Also missing in Canada is the ability to choose the Matador Red Mica exterior colo(u)r for your IS F.

The Lexus Canada website does have one special cool feature that we can all enjoy: a free downloadable IS F Ringtone for your PDA or cell phone.

Our thanks to my.IS members CDN_Lexus and CanadaIS300 for alerting us to this story in the IS F Forum and in the Canada national Forum, respectively.
