I just got my 2001 Solar Yellow IS300 back today - three months 5 rental/loaner cars later. I will spare the details with the insured, insurance company, towing company, and bodyshop, but will focus on the people who made things right once they were notified of the situation: Jordan Case, President of Park Place dealerships; Marlon Goocher, Park Place Grapevine Service Advisor; Roger Lackey, Director of Park Place Fixed Operations/Director of Parts and Services; Eddy Porter, Lexus Roadside Assistance AAA Mediator, and Lexus Customer Service Shawn Wong who has diligently followed the case to the end. Thank you! You guys have made me smile!

It is nice to know that the checks and balance system at Park Place and Lexus North America exist. I am proof of it. Now I understand why Lexus was voted #1 in J.D. Powers. You guys deserve it!

After seeing that title the first thing i thought of was the McDonalds monopoly game and i thought that you had gotten both boardwalk and park place. That would definatly have been sweet if you won the million bucks. Imagine what you could do to your IS

good luck with the dimished value deal...that is a case that insurance companies are fighting tooth and nail over...if you don't already have one, you may need a lawyer to fight it for you...many people have different ideas of how values should be determined and nobody ever wants to pay for it

Which park place lexus are you talking about? It's probably not the one in Grapevine. I have had nothing but GREAT experiences their. I had some dents removed from a door that cost 99.00 and asked them to remove some off my hood and they did those for free, even though they normally charge 99.00 a panel. They ECU/TRAC fix got taken care of with little to no problem.

Nancy, I agree that the people at Grapevine are the best and BIG UPs to Marlon Goocher who got the ball rolling on my ECU/TRAC fix.

For me it was mostly bad experience with the sales dude. Don’t remember his name anymore, he is their Internet department sales person, but the story was like this: They quoted me a price by e-mail of the 2001 IS300 loaded with my desirable options. I was pretty excited, since it was a good deal. But, just to make sure I could get a second opinion, I went to Sewell Lexus (which is 5 minutes away from my house, compared to 1 hr for Park Place). Considering what Park Place offered, they were able to match that, and even threw in a free brushed-aluminum dash kit! So, e-mailed the Park Place guy to thank him for the quote and that I got a better offer from Sewell, which also happens to be closer… Boy, let me tell you! He was not a happy camper! He was accusing me of “questionable ethics” this and that, and came short of cursing me out! My feelings were really hurt…. Well, not really. But I didn’t appreciate that kind of a treatment.

But I’m sure their service department is great. Just like any other Lexus.

i have an IS300, but my mom has a GS430 and it came from Park Place Lexus and they seemed to be excellent. they even gave us a gift and a maguires car car package (i took the maguires stuff and use it on my IS though, haha)

Nancy -- It took you 3 months to get your car back? What happened to it?

Anyway.. I always have great experience at Park Place Grapevine. Don't know about Park Place Plano tho. Never been there..

Btw, y'all Texans ClubLexus is having a Lexus meet next weekend at Park Place Plano.

I'm declining to comment, because I have yet to accept the settlement from the insured's insurance company. All I can say is those who made my life miserable for those 3 months without my car are being held accountable.
