As for the beetle thats my wifes car, it's a 1.8T however and it pretty descent for what it is. The talon is another story. Its not my daily driver and does spend a lont of time down with repairs and upgrades, it will however walk on boosted IS300's thanks... My last trip to the track it went 12.59 @110mph with 311whp.. I recently dynoed at 357whp and just added a sheet metal intak emanifold and am running 24psi of boost on pump gass to hopefully make 400whp. That should net 12 flat on pump gass... You think your going to walk me outta the hole with a RWD car? You have another thing coming dude.. Do some research on AWD 60ft times.

~~~now i think this guy has no clue what he's up against when he comes to a daily driving boosted is300. yes he's putting decent power down but he's a dork. what do you guys think?
If I understand this right, you were talking to a dude with a Talon and he said this? Because you'd have to be on crack to think that running high 12's (if 12.59 is his best, he's probably a lot worse than that usually) is going to own a tuned, boosted IS.
That is not motorola's car, he's quoting a talon owner, haha.
Also from stop, he will rape most turbo IS's (I said most). At highways speeds it's a whole different story though :D
True, from a stop most AWD cars can beat a 2wd car (hole shot) because they can dump it from 6,000 rpms and not lose traction. But to own a PFS Stage II with slicks? Not a chance. I know of two Eclipses that run in the 10's, but that is with some pretty heavy mods. A "sheet metal" intake manifold? This dude needs to remember that you could make a Plymouth Duster (old school trubo'd ones) run high 12's by upping the boost to 25 psi, but it's still a piece of shiat Duster that'll blow up on you after two runs.
I still don't see the argument with a boosted IS300 being a little slower than a totally built up talon. Every tuner enthusiast knows those cars have great tuning potential. Everyone knows they're fast, and the AWD is a big plus off the line.
If I wanted to build a fast car, I'd get an old RX-7 and drop a crate small block v8 into it(add some nitrous) and run into the 10's. It still can't cover up the fact that your driving a fast little $hitbox. Let all the little guys talk trash, you can't mess with boosted IS300's. It's a fast car that you can STUNT a 'lil. :lol:
I wouldn't be caught dead in a 10 sec. talon, period. :shame:
This is the perfect example of why I when I decide to boost my IS300 I will be focusing on my 0-60 times. I'd rather have less boost overall but HUGE amounts of boost down low so i can (how did he put it..."walk") all over shit talkers in Talons? (is that made by Jeep/Eagle? :lol:)
I know there are tons of is300's that have the top end covered. I'll try my best to represent for the stoplight warrior IS300's :shame:
By the way Bigdaddy, what kit are planning on using to achieve good 0-60 times? I'm looking to go that route, too. Thanks for any info!
