Is it the R-154? If so, it'll be plenty strong. I believe GTE is producing a kit that will allow you to adapt this tranny right up.

Not sure if this is the R154 or not though, not too familiar with the manuals.

ok guys i found out some more info..
i found 2!!!!!!!!

one of them is from a
95 supra
miles on the tranny (no idea, doesn't say)
this one is going for 600... and another 75 for shipped..

and

a 97 supra 52K miles on it...
this one is local so no shipping....
but it costs 1075!!!

i talked to the tech guy there, and he assured me that it doesn't really matter how much miles the tranny has been run, well i'm sure it matters a bit, but he said it is very very durable... will do easy for 400 to 450 to the wheels, which is my goal... so i'm thinking the 95 supra, just because it's a bit cheaper....

what yall think?

Hows your tranny doing Wxman?

Does anybody know the main differences between the W55 and W58 besides ratios?

You will get the tranny as a whole unit (bell housing, gearbox, and linkage)

Just swap the IS bell housing to it, the IS shift linkage, IS master cylinder, and everything just bolts right up.

I just took 10secondIS for a ride in my car this weekend. It still pulls like a beast. Maybe he can chime in...
