Are the Pad Spacers installed correctly? I've looked around for a how to or diagram but nothing shows them installed.

Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks


Fail.. Is, not I this correct^.






Part numbers for anyone needing them. Around $100 through Toyota Dealer.
Shim kit- 04945-14110 x1
Pad Spacers-4779914010 x4
PIN- 90240-06019 X4
Anti Rattle Spring-47748-14080 X2

You DEFINITELY want the shims installed. The Pad shim kit from Curt @ Elmhurst contains-

The pistons will dig into the back up the brake pad and could eventually crack the brake pads which in turn might lock up your wheel!

4 - shims total- 2 black ones sit against the back of the pad, and the 2 silver go on top of the black shims.
1 - gold grease bag to go between the shims and wherever else
2 - anti-rattle springs
4 - pad spacers

Far as the pad spacers go I would think that the pad spacers go 1 on each pad at the bottom of the caliper to seperate the pad from the caliper since the pads seem to rest against the bottom side of the caliper more right?

That's how I installed mine anyways.
