OK, I know alot of you guys are into stereo, and i think i have come to the conclusion that i have a bad amp, I have the alpine MRV-1507 which is a
"MOSFET Power Supply
150x2(4ohm), 300x2(2ohm), 600x1(4ohm)
Adjustable 30-200Hz HP or LP Crossover(24dB)
Special Features 450W by 2(4 Ohm Stereo) Parametric EQ Mosfet Power Supply Cooling Max Power 1500
Num Channels 2/1"

I have 3 12W3's "Continuous Power Handling: 250 Watts
Voice Coil: 2.25" diameter, 4-layer, Kapton former
Available Configurations: Dual 2 ohm, Dual 4 ohm or Dual 6 ohm" with that amp, does that mean that i am only getting 450 watts max to the subs? and if i get this amp the xtant 1001x "Xtant Mono Bass Amplifier
1000 watts x 1 at 1 ohm
Selectable 12 or 24dB/octave low-pass
Built-in 90 Hz crossover
Special Features 1 Ohm 1000 Watts Line Outputs 2 Module Ports
Max Power 1000
Num Channels 1 " will i get 1000 watts constant to each sub or what, Im very confused on this ,please someone help thanks!

the amp you go is a 2/1 channel amp, are you using a crossover?? because u have 3 subs. plus, it will eventually overheat having to power three subs. alot of people will say no, but it will, i know from past experience. im running a precision power 2600.2 (600x1) to only ONE of my subwoofer.

it depends how u have ur wiring configured... for example if u have it running parallel you would get 450 watts going through all 3 woofers and it also depends (throuh wiring) what resistence level u are running at. i used to have that same amp u got and i powered one 12" Crystal sub with it (bridged the amp at 4 ohms) and it still wasn't enough. i recommend u get the xtant 1001 ... that is a Very good amp. i plan to get two of em for my next system...hope i was some kind of help to u...also if u want i am selling 2 rockford power series (chrome competition) amps (250.1 and 250.2) for 4 bills each...kinda expensive but they retail for over a 1000 bucks
aiight then
peace

it depends how u wire it...the xtant is 500w @ 4 ohms...i like to keep my speakers running at 4 ohms just to put them through less work but if u want u can have ur stereo place wire it so it runs 1000w at 2 ohms through all three subs.

why worry about that much power running to the sub constant? even with the xtant, the amp is not going to be stable running 1000x3 even at 1ohm. ur either going to overheat the amp or blow your subs.
