Well I don't have enough money for a nice turbo'd car or anything, but I was hoping what the different stages mean for a turbo. Anything would really help me out. Thanks and keep those turbo's coming!

The stage numbering system that the many tuners (PFS,SRT,TBKO,etc.)use, does not spread across the board evenly...The prices and HP of these kits do not equal one another based on the stage number.

Yes, there is no industry-wide 'standard' for "stages." Each tuner usually builds a basic kit, which they aptly title a "Stage 1." Subsequently, they will release different sets of upgrades to the base kit, with each different level of upgrades referred to as the next "stage," i.e., Stage 2, Stage 3, etc.

You cannot correlate one tuner's stage 2 with another tuner's stage 2.

The only way to really compare is to compare price, hp output, build quality, and reliability of the particular kit you are looking at to other kits on the market to see which one fits your needs best.

when i was upgrading my last car, WRX, I used Vishnu Performance stuff. They had successful kits for tuners... but to increase market share they introduced "stage 0.5" and now they have a "stage 0". Im agine telling people you upgraded to a stage zero!
