Does anyone know how this set up works. I'm guessing they just use a very simple AFC. Is it tunable? How much can be done with it?

What do you guys think who have their turbo kit?

It is tunable...by SRT. SRT hooks up a nifty home made connector gadget from the SRT A/F box to a laptop. Also involves a 9v battery for power. I think it has a larger set of maps than the e-Manage.

I like my stage 2 turbo.

Its like a safc with no interface...a little more though.

I don't like it because is so god damn inconvenient. Plus the price of the kit doesn't really justifiy not having a decent EMU. I mean, the tec3 is like 2g's if you buy it. this little box is probably less than 100.

eh, love the kit though. Upgrading it will just cose more since I need to either drive 11hours each way to get it tuned or get a new EMU and have it tuned locally w/ no warranty Im sure.

I agree, having their own ECU that is only tunable by them is extremely inconvenient. But they do have the option of the e-manage, which is tunable by almost everyone. I believe this is an upgrade option, though, when IMO it should not raise the price of the kit. Most other kits come with an e-manage in the original price.

Yet another instance of inaccurate timing. "we'll offer the upgrade very soon". I guess very soon is relative, but its been a long ass time since I wanted it....still in "negotiations" I guess.

The e-manage is being hooked up on my stage 2 and will be available by the beginning of 2004 for all srt stage 2 owners.

I hope they can convert the current piggy back maps to greddy maps and send it out so it that it is more "plug and play" ish...and I don't have to spend $150/hour for tuning again

SRT would most definitely be releasing base maps for their setups (stage 2, stage 2.5 will be the first two to have them available) once they have them to all SRT customers.

Mattsi- the thing with a "basemap" is that you will still most likely want to have it fine-tuned so that you can achieve the best results on your car. Of course, starting from a basemap, this takes MUCH less time than tuning from scratch.

I guess I'm talking more specifically me, in this case. Remember all the issues mo had w/ tuning my car? He said the map for my car was WAY diferent than any of the others he's done.

We'll see. I should get the emanage and the stage 2.5 in one shot yo'
