I know that recently a few members with e shift (mattssi, lil Is300, etc) had purchased SRT stage 1 or 2 turbo's and I wanted to get some feedback from them:

Are you having any shifting issues? How was the problem taken care of? Do you recommend just sticking with the SRT ECU or upgrading?

thanks

No, the 300RWHP was on a manual. Mattssi's car is a automatic. Plus he doesnt have a 3" exhaust and I think a high flow cat. Give him a turbo exhaust and no cat, 330 or more :p

How's that sad?

Mark's SRT Stage 1 Manual - 300rwhp (untuned with restrictive exhaust)
Mattssi SRT Stage 2 Auto - 320rwhp (tuned with restrictive exhaust)
Wino_II (Me :D)SRT Stage 2 Manual - 352rwhp (tuned with 3" Turbo exhaust) :p

All of those are damn good if you ask me. Right where they should be.

Now back to the original ?

I believe most kits out there are having trouble with the 1-2 shift in that at WOT you have to let off the gas to allow the car to shift (for the auto). If you're at partial throttle then shifting should be no issue. PFS with the Tec3 is the only kit that I know of that should shift correctly thru all gears with the auto. If I'm wrong please post replies people with SRT, Toyomoto & PHR. I'm just going based on past posts.

Our tranny ECU will be released in the near future (4-6 weeks) that will fix any known issues with the shift from 1-2 and 2-3.

That sounds great :D

It's weird. If I give it just under fully throttle, it will shift ok, full throttle, I've done 2 or 3 times now and it just hangs. I'm going to try and get the lift off the gas trick down... but I can't wait until the SRT ESK comes out, I'll be SOO happy then!

Mattssi glad to see everything (almost)work out....

Once that ESK is out, SRT's turbo kit will be the best bang for the dollar for us e-shifters.

Mo see you in 4-6 weeks :D

Wino, I am just curious how many psi you were running and if you were using racing fuel?

Marc-

9psi, 93 octane pump gas.

12:1 a/f

It's kinda neat- he and I both have 5speed '02 IS300s, and if you overlay our dynos, the curves match eachother almost exactly- torque, hp, and a/f.

My turbos spool up faster because of my EBC, so I have about 10 more rwtq at 3000-3500, but the first and last part of the dynos match EXACTLY, even the little peaks and dips match up. Talk about consistency.

Also, I have had my car on the dyno like 6 different times, without resetting the ecu, and the a/f is always the same.

BTW, I have a hi-flow cat, he has no cat.

I pulled 348rwhp, he pulled 352. Both 93 pump gas, both 9psi.

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I was just curious if it was above 7 psi.

I may someday go up to a 3" exhaust, but I am not sure what I would do with the power gained. I already have traction issues. :)
