so my 2001 IS300 only has 12,700 miles on it, and the rear brakes have started to squeak. I find this odd that the brakes would be worn down already at such low mileage... I have not take the wheel off to physically look at the brakes yet.
I wll be doing this later this afternoon when I get off work.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem of? and if my rear brakes are worn down, would it be covered underwarranty for premature wear???

EDIT: I turns out it wasn't my brakes. :D I took all my center caps off, and it was the cap right behind the pin that was loose, that was making the sqeaky noise.  gotta put those center caps back on now...

I believe that brake pads are not covered under the factory warranty. It is what they call 'wear and tear' category. But if they find out that there is a defect in the other parts of your rear break system that cause premature wear on your break pads, then you may be in luck.

My suggestion is take it in for an inspection, you may be lucky and get a set of new pads.
