I've done a search in the forums for people trying to eliminate rattles/squeaks. One guy said he used felt in between plastic parts. Is this a good idea? I've got 36k on my IS, with the squeak and glove box rattle starting only a few months ago. If I were to add some felt, I really don't have any idea on how to get into the squeak location or glove box rattle. Please advise!

Does anyone have any ideas as to where to begin? I would LOVE to get this rattle and squeak taken care of. Squeaks piss me off! :pissed:

Here is the image with the trouble spots.

Or a link to the image if the image post doesn't work:

Thanks guys/gals.

I can place my hand directly ON the glove box and push it in a bit, which seems to make the rattle go away, so I'm pretty sure it's the glove box. I wonder, is there something in there that needs to be tightened?

As for the squeak, I can push in a bit on the plate just behind the turn signal and it seems to get rid of the squeak.

Should I try taking it apart/tightening/installing felt?
Of course, that makes me nervous. :-?
