In response to my first posting of how Fast does your IS go!!, I stand corrected I had my gauges tested last night and much to my disbelief my speedometer was off by 6. So for those of you who replyed and said from the start that the gauge was off, Thank You you just save me from getting a sh*t load of tickets.

How did you test your speedometer? By driving past those police things on the side of the road that measure your speed

Also, I'm assuming that it's off by 6 where if your speedometer is saying 55 mph, you're really going 61 mph, right?

That's pretty funny, you shouldn't assume things it makes an ass out of you and me, but to answer your question I had I tested at a shop, and I have ordered a new replacement. The one I have now is defective.

Solar, I don't think he is trying to make an ass out of you. He had a good point. Police radar, and the ones on the side of the road are not always accurate! I know because I used to be a cop. They are supppose to be calibrated before each shift, and they are not always correct!

Do you have stock wheels & tires on your IS300? If not, then your speedo could be off because of it.

My speedo seems to match exactly the speed that my GPS thinks I am going.
