Ok guys, really sorry for all the hangups in getting a meet going. Things have just been crazy lately. Let's open this up for discussion again and get something worked out.

When?
I was thinking first weekend in Octobor or so. This gives us time to let everyone know, and plan stuff out. Hopefully by then the heat will have died down a bit.

What to do?

Option 1: Kart Racing
For those of you that did Kart racing last time, you can attest to the bad-ass-ness of it. They are little race Karts that pull some nice g's in turns. Very competative and crazy fun. Price will range about $50 per person. For that you get 3 races of 15 laps each. It would probably take up the better part of the day.

Option 2: Picnic
We can rent a pavillion at a local park. Either TY park in Hollywood, or CB Smith in Plantation. We can get a pavillion with cover from the heat and rain, and fire up the grill. Good isolated parking to line up the IS300's for pics and what not. Cost will be low, maybe $5.00 a head to help out with food and drink. Or we can have everyone bring a little something which has worked in the past.

Option 3: ???
Anyone else have suggestions, feel free to post. It generally should be something we can do as a group.

Whatever we do, there will of course be prizes and .NET goodies for sale at a discounted price.

So lets hear some feed back. What do you all think??

Are we going to do a weekend thing like the other meets? You know Fri. we meet at the Tower Shops, Sat. we meet at (TBA) and Sunday we have the BBQ.(TBA)

If so can we finally arrange an "is" caravan to somewhere? We have never done that.

Also I will donate my house on Saturday or Sunday to have the BBQ, Swim, Jacuzzi, play tennis, and watch dvd movies on our theater.

If you don't thats cool, then just tell me what to bring and where to bring it.

Hmm that sounds cool dude. I guess it all depends how many people RSVP. I don't think you want 50 cars parked in front of your house.

Not sure about the whole weekend thing. Id rather have one big day and get a good turnout. Although im sure Toweshops on the Friday night would be cool. As long as we can get there early enough and score a lane.

Last year's full weekend agenda (Friday:Tower Shops/Saturday:GoKarts & South Beach Cruise/Sundayicnic)worked out great. As the old cliche saying goes:"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I'd be perfectly happy doing it just like last year.

Sweet Kart racing... we should see what the price differences are between the karts we used last time and the ones w/ more HP. But I think I remember them saying that you couldn't use those karts w/ others on the track, but that might be something to think about.

Fri: If Tower doesn't happen we could always go to West Palm Beach to Test and Tune at Moroso... but that might be a long trek..

Sat: kart for sure

If we decide to take a S. Beach Crusie, we need to notify the City of Miami Beach and they will provide a police escort for our caravan. I know that they are strict when it comes to mass loads of cars crusing down Ocean Dr.

I am down for whatever and October sounds good to me.

It's a lot of work (for us), but I'm down with another weekend again.

Steve, the park with the nice parking for lineup - CB Smith in Pembroke Pines (Flamingo/Pines Blvd).

Karts would be very cool again, we should be able to get the group deal again. I don't think we need the faster carts. I had bruises up and down my back from the slower ones.

Police escort South Beach caravan sounds nifty, probably Sat night...

Bro, you know me, if you need help just ask I am always down to help. I don't know if we really need the entire weekend, if we can plan accordingly we should be able to do kart on sat MORNING, picnic that afternoon, than possible drive though the beach that night.

The first weekend is the 3rd (Friday) in OCT. The 2nd weekend is the 10th. I don't have the IS anymore but would bring the GS possibly. :chill:

I already answered yes - unless the meet happens on the weekend of October 24-26. Then it becomes a no for me. Anyway, there's AutoX at Hialeah Park that weekend, so it's definitely NOT a good weekend for the IS300.net meet :wink:

I'm thinking Tower Shops Friday, Karts on Saturday followed by a house party at Marios (with a possible caravan to SB that night) and Picnic at CB Smith on Sunday.
