I had to attend traffic school for the whole day today, so I parked my car outside in the open parking lot. When I got out of the class in the afternoon, I noticed the Lexus emblem in the back is gone. All I can see is a the black glue residue left. I am so pissed right now. I only had my silver IS for 3 days so far. The good thing is that there is no scratch on the car though.

sorry, i needed it to match my altezza lights...i was gonna take the ones on your wheels, too, but they dont fit my rubcaps (hubcaps that look like chrome rims) and I wanted to get the one on the engine cover for my necklace but i couldnt pop the hood... i am also remelting and reusing the glue that was still on the back of my new emblem...

I have seen an old american car with at least 15 emblems on his car, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, infiniti, acura, honda, toyota....etc. You name it, gold/silver......a lot of them.

I bet this guy steal all of those.

it's insane!

Yes, the emblem is attached by some sticky foam. I took my car in today to the dealer, and he was happy to replace it for free. Normall, the emblem costs $25 plus $45 to install it. He suggests that you can install it yourself simply by heating the adhesive with a blow dryer.

u should get a free one

the acura cl type s' get the "type s" badge stolen all the time. some dealers don't even put them on until delivery.

people are idiots and will do anything to someone else's property to satisfy the most inane urge they have

hell look at keyjobs -- the most destructive and expensive thing u can do to a car short of throwing a grenade thru the window. if i ever catch someone keying any of my cars i'll activate his dental plan, let me tell ya

I talked to the sales rep who then told the service agent to charge the expenses to internal account. I think it's only free this time because I only had my car for three days.

Yes, I am very grateful that my car wasn't scratched. After they placed the emblem back on, my car looks like new again.
