i'm keeping my 17's and alloy wheels on my cl-s. yes, it's a front drive, so that's a bit of a benefit, but if i were you, i'd take the chance. how many times will your is300 actually be unable to get around if you drive within the condition's limits?

nah, you'll be OK...i wouldn't buy snow rims/tires unless i got burned first.

Chroma, I don't think so. Not with those low profile summer (Bridgestone/Goodyear) tires. If you plan to use the 17", get all-year tires at least.

Better safe than sorry.

Jiggafett: You can have our cold air any time. Someone from Canada sent us 10 days of cold, dry, sunny weather and we're sick of it. It's been freezing every night and about 45 degrees F during the day. We're not accustomed to scraping the ice off in the morning before January. In addition this situation has created a temperature inversion that seals in the smog. There is a burn ban in the county, so we can't even get our fire places going. The sky over Seattle is taking on a brown haze. We want our rain and warmer temperatures back!

jebzter, the burners don't fit. The break caliper will scrape the inner part of your rim, (which you can't see when you have the rim on.)

I have a feeling that many of the suggested wheels on the site won't fit either. So, becareful with your purchase.

SeattleSheila: I'm not sure but I think you're one of the only people from Seattle that I have ever heard would like the rain back. Others I met while there about 8 years ago say it rains so much they would like Miami's sunshine. It's November and it's 80 deg.. I know you and others are probably longing for our weather but hot and humid mixed with smog is I feel worse. Since your not allowed to burn a fire in your fireplace I wish you luck this winter, I guess you have other means of heating, but hang in there.

Rochester NY?

Hell I'd put snow tires on.

I'm in a suburb of boston and I already have mine on. I hear we're gonna get some snow Tuesday.

Good luck if you don't. You're not gonna move. Keep in mind that everybody here is from the Cali. Like they ever get snow there or know how to drive in it...

In Maine, I think it's state law now that you must have not only snow tires, but studded snow tires for your car.
