It seems there's always someone who thinks they're better than everyone else and that they deserve to be able to say whatever they want, where and whenever they want. This is not that place. Some people take offense to my deleting of posts. Too bad, I've said why I do it many times.

Here's the bottom line: If I can't refer someone to my own website without being embarassed, then there is a problem.

I run this website and forum for the benefit of owners and enthusiasts, not as a playground for anyone who thinks that "*****" is not offensive.

If it comes down to it, I will ban users, emails and ip addresses, as futile as it may be sometimes. But I will not stand for the kind of bullshi*t that comes out of the trolls and miscreants that decide to make this their hangout. I can only imagine that there are better things they'd rather be doing.

If the Off-Topic forum is to appease the trolls, then why do they need to be here (at this particular site), specifically? Off-Topic forums can be found in many places.

Now having an off-topic area for our general membership is one thing, but if it's just going to be a playground for the lamers we have, what's the point?

My original intention with the off topic forum was for the members to have non car/IS300 related discussions, not to have a troll board.

im asking you bouts ur car... is becouse i found this...Mazda made turbo Miatas in 1991-1992 avalable to the public, the miatas were a form of celebration of the 24Hour LeMans victory and so they made 24 Turbo Miatas with the same paint-job as the car that won the race. I belive there were 2 or 3 more Turbo Miatas made as a special order for someone and i belive they were all black.

Thats exactly the point of the off topic forum, because of the familiarity. If you'd like, I will moderate that forum and I promise you, the trolls will get nowhere. If you want to see an example of what I'm proposing give www.explorerforum.com a look. Thats a site dedicated to Ford Explorers. All of the members of that site (3,000) know each other well like many of us do here. They even host Explorer offroad outings all over the country and many members have met face to face. When you get to the main page scroll down to the "Exploring Everything Under the Sun" forum. That is our off topic forum. Rick the Admin there was reluctant at first to open it as you are Tony, but its effects have been 100% positive. It has kept all other forums almost 100% free of off topic material. When something off topic is posted in a forum, that forums moderator simply moves it to the under the sun forum. Works great! It really gives members a chance to get to know each other.

Give it a look and see what you think.
